Products Rhoost Loves: More than just making do
Ok, how cool is this idea? Combine a cleverly designed, simple, and very cool looking connector set with stuff you have lying around and presto – your kids have not only made use of what would otherwise been thrown away, but they have also tapped into their creativity!
We love Makedo for some big reasons:
- Makedo helps us see value in what we already have. Who really needs more stuff?
- Makedo encourages creativity and resourcefulness and frankly not many things in life do…
- Makedo justifies the irrational habit we have of keeping packaging boxes!
Did you hit Toy Fair 2010 in NYC this week? What did you love?

Products We Love : The Right Kind of Bike
Given we both come from countries rife with poverty – Vianka from the Dominican Republic and Tavinder from India and Kenya – we have seen first hand how seemingly minor resources can greatly improve an individual’s ability to generate income, improve health and access education.
For that reason, when we happened upon Worldbike we just had to share. We think this is the right kind of bike for a number of reasons:
- Worldbikes are designed specifically for the needs of individuals in rural areas where rough terrain and demanding use leave most bikes in need of unaffordable repair before long.
- Worldbikes are locally assembled and maintained which mean they generates local jobs and remain operable.
- Bikes are inherently cost and energy efficient.
- These bikes just look so cool!
We are thrilled about the donation we made to help underwrite a bike!

Introducing : Products We Love
In developing Rhoost Edges and Slings we are constantly coming across other products we love. In fact, we love them so much that we want to share.
So today we launch a new blog category called “Products we Love”. We begin with a product we found early on in our process. This product taught us that safety and fun can be blended in a way that does not have to compromise either.
The Moby bath spout cover by Skip*Hop. This adorable little blue whale not only protects little heads from big bumps but is also BPA, phthalate and PVC free! That’s what we call a win-win-win…win situation.
Tell us about the products you love.
