Rhoost is launching our next product!
So if you were on our Facebook page recently, you are already ‘in the know’ about our next product due for release and just in time for Child Safety Month! For those who missed it – the new product is a Blind Cord Winder! Adios dangling blinds cords!
With this product we were focused on achieving a balance between safety, simplicity, and style. We are thrilled with the way the product has come out – it looks a lot more like a blind accessory than a safety product – but don’t be mistaken, dangling cords will be a thing of the past. The best part is that for really long cords, you can simply use multiple devices together to get the job done.
Product will be available for purchase September 1 and three lucky Facebook fans have nabbed a free set – fan us to get in the running!

The Kind of Drool we Like!
Becoming a parent can be daunting to say the least. You’re learning everything for the first time – What does that cry mean? How can I get her to sleep? How do I give her a bath? But perhaps the most daunting part is knowing what are the right products for you and your baby. Don’t worry! There’s help!
We are very excited to join Magic Beans, Big City Moms and dozens of other great brands for the first ever Drool Baby Expo on May 31, 2011 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Drool will provide new and expectant parents with a fun, upscale environment for exploring all the products and services they need for their growing family. In addition to crave-worthy baby products, Drool will feature educational workshops, incredible raffle prizes, delicious food & drinks, complimentary spa treatments and an overflowing gift bag.
Rhoost will be there – will you?

Products Rhoost Loves…Kid Konserve
What do Eileen Fisher and waste-free lunches have in common? Not a lot until Eileen Fisher launched a grant program focused on women-owned business that combines the principles of social consciousness and sustainability to create new businesses.
Kid Konserve, a very cool company dedicated to educating families and schools on the importance of ‘reuse’ through their eco-chic, non-toxic, non-leaching, waste-free lunch and snack packing solutions, was one of the lucky recipients of this innovative prize.
We love the Kid Konserve product line and give kudos to Eileen Fisher for using her business to create social change. Since it’s inception, Rhoost has been committed to developing non-toxic and eco-friendly products and we are thrilled to see companies like Eileen Fisher and Kid Konserve bring the issues of social consciousness and sustainability to the forefront.

ABC 2010 Show re-cap
So under the assumption that NOT everything in Vegas should stay in Vegas – we decided to share some highlights from the ABC show we attended last week.
Let’s actually start by going back…way back to 2009 and our very first ABC booth. A banner, a table, and a handful of prototypes.

If you’re less than impressed, suffice to say you were not the only one. That said, we did get some really critical feedback that convinced us we were on to something.
Fast forward 1 year and we were back, 3 products in hand and an extreme booth makeover!

This year, our booth and products were a true hit! We were able to capture a few special moments on film…
Jamie Grayson, the BabyGuyNYC stopped by during his travels. He had an amazing twitter party the week before the show – as in 2.4 million impressions. Talk about impressive!

Melissa Moog and Alicia from Soft Landing came by with the whole Itsabelly crew – got such great advice from the ladies. Vianka had the opportunity to take part in an International Baby Planners Association session introducing eco-friendly products to baby planners.

Susan from Isis Parenting and the ever-elusive Isis Monkey came by to say ‘hi’ (I think he also heard we had bananas)…

Sheri from Magic Beans got a first hand Edge corner protector demo from Tavinder…

And the awesome ladies from Room to Grow Boston, a great not-for-profit organization with locations in Boston and New York came to check us out and we are thrilled to be supporting their upcoming Fall Gala which is always a great event!

Finally, we have to show-off our new favorite product from the show (Vianka was able to snag this one for Soledad) – the Clek Olli booster seat.

Clek Olli for Soledad...SCORE!
And just like that the show was over…Rhoost Booth 2010 was nothing more than 10’x10’ square #7520 again.

See you all next year in Louisville!

Kind and Jugend 2010
We spent the majority of last week at the Kind and Jugend Show in Koln Germany. It was our first time attending but we’re sure it won’t be the last.
Some of our favorite moments included seeing the brand new Bugaboo Donkey Double Stroller. The woman doing the demo was handling that stroller like a Vegas dealer handles a deck of cards – we couldn’t help but wonder if she was training for ABC.

Last year at the ABC Show – Oxo launched Its new juvenile brand called Oxo Tots and it does not disappoint, from the logo and branding to the products, we love their stuff!

A little closer to home, it was great to see our friends from Zoli Baby exhibiting at the show and we were thrilled about their K+J Innovation Award nomination for the Buzz B nail trimmer. It is a brilliant solution for safely trimming little nails.

We may even have made time for a Kolsch beer or two…

Now we are gearing up for ABC 2010!
