Ringing in 2012 with a great new partnership! Health Child Healthy World + Rhoost

We are very excited to announce our partnership with Health Child Healthy World.  For those not familiar, Healthy Child Healthy World is a national nonprofit organization that empowers parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.  Healthy Child Healthy World works closely with a circle of trusted partners – such as Abe’s Market, Seventh Generation, Stonyfield Farm, Plum Organics and now Rhoost!  Together we empower parents to make smarter, safer lifestyle choices for their children.

We think Rachel Lincoln Sarnoff, executive director of Healthy Child Healthy World says is very well: “Parents are always looking for smart solutions to help protect their children from harm, but Rhoost has taken the extra step to ensure their materials are also non-toxic and safe for babies to touch and feel.  We are proud to work with partners like Rhoost that make it easy for parents to choose safer, healthier products for their families.”

So, what does the partnership mean?  We will collaborate on series of initiatives to educate consumers about the importance of using sustainable and healthier babyproofing products. We’ve hit the ground running and already are participating in the Mom in a Mission Campaign. It’s a great way to celebrate inspiring parents who are dedicated to creating healthier and happier environments for children and families.

Back in the Rhoost – it’s been a while

Hello Rhoosters.  Sorry it’s been a while – we been busy developing new product, attending trade shows, and connecting with parents and parents-to-be!  The last one is our favorite.

One of our favorite ways to connect with parents are through events like the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower.  In fact, we recently returned to the rhoost after attending one in early November.

As co-founders, we love this event for three reasons:

First, We get to connect with other great companies making really innovative and cool products.  A few favorites from this event were:

Sprout founded by Chef and Dad Tyler Florence. The passionate Sprout team members were busy giving out taste tests all night (we can confirm the food is yummy).

Baby MEDBASICS Talk about a parenting necessity!  These great little books provide parents with critical and potentially life-saving information when they need it. Two great books are available Baby MEDBASICS and Toddler MEDBASICS. Not easy enough for you – then check out their  mobile device app.

Phil&Teds In the increasingly virtual world we live in, simple things like meeting in person have become small treasures.  We were thrilled to finally meet with Jennifer Vasquez from Phil&Teds. We will be partnering with them over the next two months and giving away some cool Phil&Teds goodies! Look out for it on the Rhoost Facebook page.

Second, It’s an opportunity to get the word out about new products and happenings.

If Liz Gumbinner from Cool Mom Picks digs your products, you know you have a good thing going. Liz has been a Rhoost supporter since day 1 and we are so grateful.

Lastly and most important -  the moms and pops who attend this event. We really love the feedback and it’s a great opportunity to share our new products and hear from you about other safety issues you need good solutions for.

Congratulations to Leslie and Risa  for pulling off another great event. Looking forward to many more.

Rhoost is launching our next product!

So if you were on our Facebook page recently, you are already ‘in the know’ about our next product due for release and just in time for Child Safety Month! For those who missed it – the new product is a Blind Cord Winder! Adios dangling blinds cords!

With this product we were focused on achieving a balance between safety, simplicity, and style. We are thrilled with the way the product has come out – it looks a lot more like a blind accessory than a safety product – but don’t be mistaken, dangling cords will be a thing of the past. The best part is that for really long cords, you can simply use multiple devices together to get the job done.

Product will be available for purchase September 1 and three lucky Facebook fans have nabbed a free set – fan us to get in the running!

Not JUST for Moms…

In order to connect with moms and moms-to-be, we attend a lot of “mommy events” geared at educating parents about the best products for babies.  One such event we attended last month was the Drool Baby Expo here in Boston.

We were struck by how many dads and dads-to-be attended.  Now don’t get us wrong, it’s not that we think dads don’t care but we definitely didn’t think promise of mini-cupcakes, manicures, and workshops on lactation would draw a lot of dads out on a beautiful summer night.

Well – we were right and wrong.  Right that the dads weren’t there for the cupcakes but wrong about the event not being of interest to them.  From the diaper bags to the feeding systems and yes, even the breast pumps – the dads were there to educate themselves and find the products that best fit their needs.

So in honor of Father’s Day – we want to say a big thank you to all the dads out there!

The Kind of Drool we Like!

Becoming a parent can be daunting to say the least.  You’re learning everything for the first time – What does that cry mean? How can I get her to sleep? How do I give her a bath?  But perhaps the most daunting part is knowing what are the right products for you and your baby.  Don’t worry! There’s help!

We are very excited to join Magic Beans, Big City Moms and dozens of other great brands for the first ever Drool Baby Expo on May 31, 2011 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Drool will provide new and expectant parents with a fun, upscale environment for exploring all the products and services they need for their growing family. In addition to crave-worthy baby products, Drool will feature educational workshops, incredible raffle prizes, delicious food & drinks, complimentary spa treatments and an overflowing gift bag.

Rhoost will be there – will you?
